We will use a Wikispaces site to present all the student-created materials, and provide a means for blogging and polling.

The main page will include 3 videos:
  • An overview of the project.
  • A PSA explaining how to politely and effectively argue/debate. (A rubric will be provided that can be used to grade the effectiveness and civility of a debate.)
  • Instructions on how to use and participate on the wiki.

The main page will also include a list of (tentatively) 8 general areas in health care reform. Each item on the list will link to a page dedicated to that particular issue.

For each of the 8 issues, students will provide an overview of the issue, and no less than two differing positions on that issue. The page will conclude with a short video in which a student will detail the non-biased, non-partisan, independently vetted and verified facts on that issue.

A final page will provide videos comparing the health care plan in the US to existing programs in Canada and the UK.

The wiki will incorporate polls in which readers can select which perspectives are most aligned with their opinion/ideology.

Students will accept questions and commentary via an e-mail account set up specifically for this project.
